About Membership, Events, Privacy and How this Network Works.
1. Vision & Purpose
We are a peer community for donors and philanthropists committed to global impact. The Network is donor-led and charity-neutral—a space to share stories, ask questions, and learn together. We exist to reduce the isolation givers often feel and celebrate shared generosity.
The network is designed for individuals and households committed to international giving (typically those who have given $5,000+ to international causes over any of the past five years). This helps ensure peer discussions are relevant and experience-based.
Charitable initiatives focused on international relief, development, justice, and high-impact change. This includes community development, micro-loans, clean water, disaster relief, healthcare, and education efforts aimed at underserved communities worldwide.
2. Events & Cost
Our gatherings focus on high-level peer connection through facilitated roundtable discussions. Every voice at the table is valued, focusing on shared wisdom regarding giving strategies—strictly free from sales pitches.
The inaugural Auckland gathering is planned for Q3 2026. Details will be sent to our email list. We are also planning future events in Wellington, Christchurch, and Australia.
There are no membership fees. We operate under the Better World Initiative to build meaningful connections among givers.
3. Privacy & Safety
We have a strict No Solicitation rule. You will never be "pitched" to or asked for money by the network or its participants.
What is shared at the table stays at the table. Participants can use information learned, but the identity and affiliation of speakers must remain confidential.
The SDN Safety Loop
Our Trusted Space is a protected environment created by the continuous cycle of Strict Privacy and our No Solicitation policy.
A self-reinforcing space for honest connection.
